STEP #1 — JOT DOWN A LIST OF YOUR FAVORITE SAN FRANCISCO LANDMARKS
Below includes a list of our top ten sites to see in San Francisco!  You may not have space on your map to include too many handwritten notes; however, researching interesting facts about your favorite sites in Iceland may turn out to be a separate fun project in itself.

1.  GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
Acclaimed as one of the world's most beautiful bridges, there are many different elements to the Golden Gate Bridge that make it unique.  With its tremendous towers, sweeping cables and great span, the Bridge is a sensory beauty and engineering wonder featuring color, sound and light.  As of February 28, 2019, over 2 billion vehicles have crossed the Golden Gate Bridge since it was opened to traffic on May 28, 1937.  Learn more.

In American architecture, painted ladies are Victorian and Edwardian houses repainted, starting in the 1960s, in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details.  One of the best-known groups of "Painted Ladies" is the row of Victorian houses at 710-720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square Park in San Francisco.  This grouping of Painted Ladies is also sometimes referred to as the "Postcard Row" or "Seven Sisters".  Learn more.
